Arsenal actively negotiating deal for Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahçe

According to the latest reports in Türkiye, Arsenal are involved in negotiations to sign Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu in the summer transfer window. The Gunners are in the market for a new left-back ahead of next season and the Turkish international’s exceptional skills and performances have caught their attention.

Ferdi Kadioglu is currently one of the most sought-after full-backs in the Turkish Super Lig. He was a key player for Fenerbahce in finishing second in the title race by just 3 points and is a permanent fixture in the starting XI, having made 51 appearances for the club in all competitions (stats via Transfermarkt).

The fight for this season’s Premier League title went down to the final matchweek, with the Gunners missing out by just two points. Despite performing spectacularly throughout the season, manager Mikel Arteta has failed to focus on a left-back.

However, the north London side are yet to begin negotiations with the Turkish side over a deal for the player. The English club are expected to make an official approach to Fenerbahce for the 24-year-old once the agreement on personal terms is finalized.

The Turkish international would also like to join the Gunners. However, the journalist claims that a move to the Emirates is very likely this summer. The Istanbul club are estimated to be looking for around €25 million for the full-back, which certainly fits within Arsenal’s budget.

Meanwhile, according to Turkish media outlet Takvim (via Daily Cannon), the Super Lig team is asking for a fee close to €30 million. The report claims that Arsenal officials will travel to Türkiye in June to officially finalize a deal with Fenerbahce for Ferdi Kadioglu.

However, the north Londoners are not the only European club interested in securing the services of the Turkish defender. The PL side will face competition from Borussia Dortmund for a player capable of playing as a left-back, right-back, midfielder or winger.
