Arsenal have put seven players up for sale and are ready to accept offers

According to the latest reports, Arsenal are considering the sale of seven first-team players and are open to attractive offers in the upcoming transfer window. The north Londoners plan to improve their squad in a bid to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

The Gunners have come very close to winning the Premier League this season, with the title fight going down to the final matchweek. However, they ultimately lost to Manchester City by just 2 points. There is no denying that the team played brilliantly throughout the season under manager Mikel Arteta, but it was not enough.

Therefore, the Gunners hierarchy decided to modernize the team to support the Spanish boss. The club wants to consolidate its place among the leaders of the Premier League and is ready to sell or get rid of any player from the team according to the manager’s wish.

As reported by Metro, Arsenal have put seven players up for sale and are ready to accept reasonable offers for them in the upcoming transfer window. They will listen to proposals from Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Aaron Ramsdale has struggled for game time since the arrival of David Raya from Brentford on loan last summer. The Spanish keeper has been Arteta’s preferred keeper throughout the campaign and the club are expected to make his stay permanent this summer.

Meanwhile, the England goalkeeper has expressed his displeasure over the lack of playing time and is ready to accept offers from the Emirates. He has attracted interest from Newcastle United as well as Wolves while the Gunners are also looking for replacements.

Academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe is also facing limited playing time, having played just 474 minutes in all competitions during the 2023-24 season (Stats via Transfermarkt). The 23-year-old began his tenure at the Emirates with plenty of promise, but is now on the verge of being sold with injuries derailing his career at the Gunners.

Meanwhile, defender Kieran Tierney has hinted at a summer departure. He was a first-team regular two seasons ago, but that changed after the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko. He was loaned for a season to Real Sociedad last summer and hopes to be sold once his loan spell is over. Speaking to The Atheltic, he said:

“There’s every chance I’ll leave. Look at the team’s depth at this position now.

“They have Zinchenko, Timber, Tomiyasu and Kiwior. Four players can play it. So if I go back and it’s like it was before, I’m not stupid, I know there’s a good chance I’ll leave.

Albert Sambi Lokonga has spent the last two seasons on loan and has hinted he could leave the Emirates permanently this summer. Nuno Tavares has also failed to impress Arteta, having made just 28 appearances for Arsenal since joining the club in 2021.

There are other players whose future is not assured under the Spanish manager and who will likely be let go soon, if they are not sold this summer. It appears the Gunners will also assess the future of Thomas Partey, who has just one year left on his contract at the Emirates.

Only time will tell who will stay at the Emirates and who will be sold by Mikel Arteta. The manager will also look to bring in replacements. He will want to add players who will make the team stronger, help them drop fewer points and achieve the goal of lifting the elusive Premier League.

The Spanish boss has the full support of the Arsenal hierarchy, including another big transfer budget for this summer. This clearly shows that the North Londoners are determined to strengthen their team even further. Their ultimate goal is to win the Premier League trophy which they have not won in the last 20 years.
